While painting and drawing are essential to my everyday life,
my interest in photography has grown steadily as another way
of seeing the world. I mainly take photographs for inspiration
for my paintings or to assist me in memorizing certain moods
or color variations. The Californian light, which I find fascinating
in all its facets, illuminates what I see in my surroundings, on walks
in my neighborhood or at the waterfront.

The photographs on the following pages are mostly color impressions -
not so much factual photographs of a plant or flower, the same is
true for the skies with clouds or the sunsets with their subtle blending
and variations.
